Evening Courses for Adults

Fine Arts College Continuing Education was launched in 2021, with a series of evening classes, summer courses and study trips.

Evening Courses have included Life Drawing, Weaving, Renaissance History and Art History Courses from 17th Century to the present Day.

Course Tutors

Art History

Candida Cave is the Head of the Fine Arts Continuing Education and founding Principal of Fine Arts College. She regularly lectures at the National Gallery, the V&A, and the British Institute in Florence. She has led European study tours in Paris, Florence, Rome, Venice, Berlin, Vienna, and Madrid. Candida studied Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford, and completed her MA in History of Art at the University of Buckingham.

Lekha Menon is Director of Fine Arts Continuing Education. She has been teaching History of Art, Modern Art, and Humanities for over 20 years, at undergraduate, postgraduate, and further education levels. Her doctorate was focused on contemporary art, and she has written many academic papers on various aspects of the history of Modernism. She currently teaches History of Art and Classical Civilisation at Fine Arts College.

Life Drawing

Nicholas Cochrane, co-founding Principal of Fine Arts College and Head of Art for many years, studied at the Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford, and subsequently spent several years in the Old Master Department at Christies. He won the inaugural Prince of Wales’s Award for Portrait Drawing and has exhibited widely in London and elsewhere. He now draws and paints full-time.
