These are the Hampstead Fine Arts College term dates for the 2026–2027 academic year, including enrolment days, all three terms, half-term breaks and our Summer Exhibition. They apply to GCSE, A Level and Foundation students at both our Centre Studios and Parkhill sites.

Holiday Provision, Short Courses and Summer Workshops

The college does not run holiday clubs or childcare during the breaks. Adults interested in learning with us can join our Fine Arts Continuing Education programme, which runs evening courses for adults in Life Drawing and Art History during term time. Details of any summer courses are published on that page when available.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the autumn term start in 2026?

The Autumn Term begins for all students on Wednesday 9 September 2026. Enrolment days come first: Monday 7 September for Years 9, 10 and 11, and Tuesday 8 September for Years 12 and 13 and Foundation Course students.

Why does the October 2026 half term start on a Wednesday?

Our autumn half term runs from Wednesday 21 October to Friday 30 October 2026 inclusive, which gives students a longer break. The last day of teaching before half term is Tuesday 20 October, and classes resume on Monday 2 November.

What are the Christmas and Easter holiday dates for 2026–2027?

The Autumn Term ends at lunchtime on Friday 11 December 2026, and the Spring Term begins on Wednesday 6 January 2027. The Spring Term ends on Wednesday 24 March 2027, and the Summer Term begins on Wednesday 14 April 2027.

When does the academic year finish in summer 2027?

The last day for students is Friday 25 June 2027, finishing at lunchtime. Our Summer Exhibition takes place earlier that week, on the afternoon of Wednesday 23 June 2027.

Is the Summer Exhibition a college closure day?

No. The Summer Exhibition on Wednesday 23 June 2027 is a college event celebrating students’ work. It is not a closure.

Do these term dates apply to other schools in Hampstead?

No. These dates apply only to Hampstead Fine Arts College. Other local schools and colleges set their own calendars.

Does the college run holiday clubs?

No. We do not run holiday clubs or childcare. Adults can explore our evening courses in Life Drawing and Art History.

Can students take holidays during term time?

We ask families to plan holidays and travel during half terms and college holidays, so students do not miss teaching. Please contact the college office if you have a question about absence.

What if we are planning to join mid-year?
