- Our Courses
The majority of our Sixth Form students follow two-year A Level courses. They will have the choice of more than 20 subjects – everything from social sciences to classical studies – and these can be studied in any combination. This allows students to pursue their own personal programme of study, ideally suited to their skills, interests and future plans. Achievement is high across all subjects, with particularly excellent results in English and Fine Art. Some students also join us in their final year to take a one-year course in one or two subjects – please enquire further with us about the options available.
Our teaching is based on informal but rigorous class discussion. Students will gain valuable experience of directing and being responsible for their own studies. With guidance from our teachers, they will go on to get the most out of university life, as they have learnt to be their own supervisor during their time at Fine Arts College.
Fine Arts College also offers students the option to gain additional qualifications during their time here, such as Lamda Grades 6-8 and the Extended Project Qualification. These are more independently driven qualifications affording students the opportunity to delve further into Speech and Drama, or to plan, research and carry out a project of an academic, artistic or practical nature over the course of a year.
The College has won numerous national awards from the Good Schools Guide, including the Award for Excellence for Boys taking Media/Film/TV studies; the Award for Excellence for Girls taking Art and Design and Photography; and Best Independent School for Boys for Art and Design Photography.
Our Admissions process is designed to be as straightforward as possible while also making it easy for you to be sure about your decision. Find out all about applying to Fine Arts College and arrange to come and see us.
