About

Hampstead Fine Arts College was founded in 1978 as a specialist college of creative and academic arts and humanities. We believe in achievement through encouragement, with a focus on each student’s individual talents and aspirations. Classes are no larger than twelve at GCSE and average eight at A-level. This helps students to achieve excellent examination results and to gain places at outstanding universities and higher education colleges.

All subjects are taught by tutors who have a genuine love of their subject, which they want to impart to their students. Our aim is to inspire a passion for learning that will last a lifetime and continue to enrich beyond formal exams.

The College has won numerous national awards from the Good Schools Guide, including the Award for Excellence for Boys taking Media/Film/TV studies; the Award for Excellence for Girls taking Art and Design and Photography; and Best Independent School for Boys for Art and Design Photography. These achievements are the product of our collaborative Fine Arts College ethos, in which everyone is encouraged to pursue their passion and develop their talents.
