Welcome from Candy & Emmy

It’s been a very exciting week, with our first students of the UAL-accredited Foundation Diploma completing their presentations of work. All the Foundation students have received numerous offers from prestigious universities including Central St Martins, London College of Communications, London College of Fashion, Goldsmiths, Falmouth and Edinburgh. Congratulations!  At the other end of the age range, we had a very successful final Parents’ Evening for Year 9 and 10 which took place in The Law Theatre at Parkhill.

 

Foundation Diploma Exhibition

On Wednesday 17th June, the Foundation students will have their final exhibition of their wide-ranging work, including painting, drawing, collage, photography, film, model-making, printing, illustration, animation and graphics. The show will be open to parents.

 

This week’s Enrichment Talk

On Tuesday, Sian Harris from the Admissions Department at University of the Arts London (UAL) came to speak about the differences between the six UAL colleges and how to prepare the all-important portfolio of creative work to gain a place.

 

Next week’s Enrichment Talk

Next Tuesday, we will welcome Paul de Zylva from the campaigning charity, Friends of the Earth. Paul will talk about the charity’s important work in promoting sustainability, protecting the environment and preventing climate change – plus what we can do to help.

 

English and Drama Trip to Regent’s Park Theatre

Next Wednesday, Year 12 English and Drama students will be going to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre to watch Sherlock Holmes, accompanied by Candy and the English tutors. Directed by Sean Holmes, the production is a new adaptation by Joel Horwood bringing together elements of drama, suspense and character study that connect closely with their studies in both English and Drama.

 

End of Year College Photo 

This Wednesday, students and staff will come together for our annual College group photograph. As we look back on another busy and successful year at Fine Arts, we would like to thank our whole community for their creativity, hard work and contribution to College life throughout the year.

 

Photography Trip to The Photographers’ Gallery

On Thursday, Year 12 students will visit The Photographers’ Gallery to see the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize 2026 exhibition. The exhibition showcases shortlisted international photographers exploring themes including identity, memory, class and documentary storytelling, offering students valuable insight into contemporary photographic practice and one of the most prestigious awards in photography.

 

Leavers’ Lunch

On Friday, we will celebrate our Year 13 and Year 14 students with a special Leavers’ Lunch at Lemonia Restaurant, Primrose Hill.

 

May Half Term

A reminder to parents and students that the college will break for half term on Friday 22nd May, with students returning to lessons on Monday 1st June. We wish all families a restful and enjoyable break.

 

Alumni, Francis Boissier shoots Ed Sheeran for Homme+ Magazine

We are delighted to highlight alumnus Francis Boissier, who studied A-Levels at Hampstead Fine Arts 2019 – 2022, before going on to Central St Martins to study a Photography degree. He is now building an impressive international career in photography and creative direction. Francis has photographed for publications including HEROHeroineReplica Man and recently shot Ed Sheeran for Arena Homme+ magazine. His commercial work features the Louis Vuitton FW24 collection. His distinctive visual style continues to establish him as an exciting and highly regarded creative talent within the fashion industry.

Summer Courses 2026

Creative 2-week courses for students aged 12–19
13th July – 7th August

We are offering courses on Portfolio Preparation, Preparation for Drama School and Art & Design for Aspiring Artists. The courses are available in person, at our Belsize Park campuses, or online, including gallery visits, portfolio development, and a final showcase.
