Each year Fine Arts College may offer either one 100% scholarship or two 50% scholarships to a deserving student or students.
Scholarships are awarded to existing students at Fine Arts College to apply to their next year’s fees. They must have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academic, artistic or musical fields of study. They must also demonstrate exceptional commitment to their studies as well as exemplary behaviour and attitude.
Interested students should apply in writing to the Principal, Candida Cave, stating which subjects they wish to study in the following academic year and the reasons why they think they should be awarded a scholarship. Applicants should use this opportunity to tell the Principal as much as possible about their achievements and extracurricular interests to date.
Applicants may be invited to submit a piece of work or attend an audition as well as attending an interview with the Principal.
The deadline for scholarship applications is 31 January 2017.
We anticipate interviews with the Principal will take place in the week commencing 20 February 2017.
Laurence Bowkett taught at Fine Arts College from 1988 until his death in 2002. A graduate in Ancient History and Archaeology, Laurence was a practising archaeologist who worked all over Europe and published books on Hellenistic Mycenae and archaeology.
Laurence inspired generations of students with his passion for the ancient world and was much loved as a paternal, caring Director of GCSE, which made him a very special member of the College for the younger students.
