"I am studying Filmmaking at the College and have just finished making my first short film. I chose the college because of its unique, friendly atmosphere and because of the interesting choice of subjects on offer. I like studying in a small place and not feeling lost in a big institution.

Through making my film I have learned how much is really involved from storyboarding to filming to editing. As a result of making my film I know that I want to do more filmmaking and I am getting ready to begin working on my next film equipped with the knowledge I have gained from doing this course. The tutors have all made their own films and as practising filmmakers it makes it very easy to learn from them."

"I chose the Fine Arts College because I wanted to be treated like an individual and not just a number to help bump up a school's league table position. History of Art was always something I was interested in so I took it up because I enjoy writing essays and Fine Art. I wanted to learn concepts in order to contextualise things: socially and politically. The Fine Arts College made me want to take A levels (was planning on leaving education after 16): it guided me towards university where I want to read English Literature with History of Art. Teachers here engage students really well and we are always treated with respect which is always good. The location is great, easy for public transport and central London is very easily accessible for all the museums and galleries which we visited frequently which was great. The size of the college is ideal, putting further emphasis on making me feel like an individual and because the teaching is so fantastic, again focusing on students as individuals, I really feel that I have been able to reach my full potential."
