Edexcel Board
This is a one year course assessed by one examination (70%) and coursework (30%).
Students study a range of literary texts including Shakespeare, pre 1914 prose and poetry as well as modern poetry, prose and drama.
This is taught in conjunction with GCSE English and these two courses prepare students for A level English Literature offered in the Sixth Form.
